About me

Vanessa salome

Hi, I'm Vanessa. I am a certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, trained within the Jivamukti lineage, which is deeply important to me as it emphasizes not only the physical practice of yoga but also ethical living, meditation, devotion, and conscious connection through music and philosophy. Rooted in the five tenets of Jivamukti, Ahimsa (non-violence), Bhakti (devotion), Dhyana (meditation), Shastra (scripture), and Nada (music), this practice brings alignment, presence, and compassion both on and off the mat.

Yoga became an essential part of my life in my late teens, initially as a way to manage anxiety and reconnect with myself. Over the years, yoga has helped me navigate many of life’s challenges, and I am deeply grateful for this practice.

Regarding my background, I completed my 200-hour teacher training with House of Om in Bali and have since deepened my practice through specialized studies, including Yin Yoga (60 hours), Yoga Nidra (30 hours), and Pranayama (50 hours) with Bodsphere. In 2025, I completed a 30-hour intensive with Jared McCann in March, 75-hour Jivamukti Teacher Training in April with Jivamukti Paris, and a 300-hour Jivamukti Teacher Training in September.

My intention as a teacher is to hold space for your personal journey, wherever that may be. Jivamukti Yoga inspires us to embody compassion, devotion, mindfulness, and connection, both on the mat and in daily life. Yoga is a beautiful practice for unifying the body, mind, and heart, and for building community. We are all interconnected, and it helps to know that wherever you are today, you are not alone on this journey. I am here to help you find your own practice.
